The Southampton 3aaa Academy is situated in central Southampton and offers Apprenticeships in IT and Digital Marketing.   Our apprentices are passionate about technology and will receive excellent technical training and bring new skills and innovation into the businesses they work in.
3aaa have recently become the only independent training provider to achieve Ofsted Grade 1 Outstanding in all areas on a first inspection.  


Babcock is a national provider of vocational training across the UK.  With an office based in Portsmouth we provide training throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, delivering apprenticeships and commercial short courses across a range of sectors including hospitality, engineering, retail, active leisure, automotive, adult and early years care.

Basingstoke College of Technology. Basingstoke College

Basingstoke ITEC was established in 1985 and is a division of the Basingstoke Youth Action Trust Ltd.  Basingstoke ITEC offers Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in the following areas, Information Technology, Business Administration and Customer Service to unemployed and employed learners.

Brockenhurst College
Brockenhurst is a Beacon College, one of the most successful in the UK and judged to be 'outstanding' by Ofsted, with excellent results and first class facilities. Situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park, we offer over 50 AS/A2s, the International Baccalaureate, 45 vocational courses and apprenticeship training for around 2,800 16-18 year old students from a wide catchment area.


CLC is an experienced, high quality training provider, specialising in the delivery of Traineeships and Apprenticeships throughout the South of England. We are funded by the Skills Funding Agency, graded as Good by Ofsted and work in partnership with Employers, Schools, Academies, Colleges, Local Authorities and Job Centre Plus. CLC work with a large number of high quality sector based employers for the provision of Traineeship and Apprenticeship vacancies and work placements.

CLC provide employers with Apprenticeship and Traineeship programmes to new and existing employees and young people.

Catch22 is a national charity (a merger between Rainer and crime Concern) with a 200 year history of working with under-supported young people. Catch22 champions & supports young people who deserve more out of life. Our Learning & Employability service supports young people (14-25 years) who are not engaged in education, training or work. We focus on getting these young people onto that first rung of the ladder, learning social skills as well as the basic skills needed to lead them back into education or support their employability.

City College is in the top 5% of colleges in the country for success rates and provides exceptional vocational and academic training for young people and adults. We specialise in all aspects of apprenticeships and work closely with employers to ensure the training provided meets both the learner and business needs. As well as offering a wide range of vocational courses and apprenticeships, City College also provides training for businesses, adult learning, advanced qualifications and a 'City Horizons' foundation learning programme to help young people get back into education, training or work.

Eastleigh College offers a wide variety of technical and professional courses to around 22,000 learners annually, working with thousands of employers across the country to deliver the industry specific skills required to develop their business.
Home of the Apprenticeship Experts, the College offers a wide variety of full-time courses, part-time professional courses and Apprenticeships, with the majority of our part-time professional courses and Apprenticeships available to study at your place of work.
As a holistic training provider, the College offers specialised occupational courses alongside those for valuable support areas such as Finance and Human Resources. The College also offers a range of support services to businesses, including the ability to manage company Levy accounts, or to develop and maintain bespoke training plans.

Enham Trust is a registered charity supporting people in their transition towards living lives of choice, control and independence.

Skills2Achieve is an initiative of Enham Trust, aimed at 16- 18 year olds Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) as an alternative to College.  The programme offers learners the opportunity to develop their employability skills and Functional skills in English and Maths. Skills2Achieve is available in Southampton, Farnborough, Andover and Basingstoke.

Fareham College offers Intermediate, Advanced & Higher Apprenticeships in a range of subject areas. We work closely with our employers and Apprentices to offer a first class training package from the very first contact. We pride ourselves on our range of expertise across all subjects and our innovative and responsive delivery methods set us apart from the competition.

Fareport - for all your work-based learning and training needs  Fareport was established over 30 years ago and is one of a few Ofsted ‘Grade 1 Outstanding’ training providers in Hampshire.  We deliver Apprenticeships, Work-based Learning and Customised Training across Hampshire and the South Coast to employed people over the age of 16.

Havant and Southdowns College

At Havant & South Downs College we deliver outstanding quality professional training, using assessors and trainers who have many years of industry experience. From your initial interest in an Apprentice, our highly experienced team of account managers will support you. We help with understanding the legislation surrounding Apprenticeships, finding the right Apprentice, using your LEVY Funds and digital account and accessing additional government funding to support training and development in your organisation. Havant & South Downs College work with a wide range of employers and recruit for Apprenticeship opportunities all year round. Highbury College

Highbury College has provided teaching and learning for over 40 years supporting students from all abilities and backgrounds, enabling students to learn at all levels from basic skills to higher education providing routes to university. Highbury is one of the most dynamic Colleges in the south east and is progressing with extensive redevelopment plans that will provide some of the most modern learning facilities in Europe.


HIT Training are a national provider who are locally based, delivering work based learning solutions to the Hospitality, Catering and Adult Care industries.  We are able to access government funding to assist in the delivery of a range of suitable qualifications.  Our service is to provide information, advice, guidance and qualifications for both employers and potential learners to ensure we fully embrace your training needs.


HTP is a private training company delivering, predominately work based qualifications for many of the service industries across the Isle of Wight, Hampshire, West Sussex and Berkshire.

JTL is a National Training Provider specializing in the recruitment and training of young people looking for an apprenticeship and  career in either electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilating, refrigeration or engineering maintenance.  We currently work with over 3000 businesses supporting in excess of 6000 apprentices helping them achieve their goals in becoming fully qualified skilled operatives.

Since its formation in 1999, The Military Preparation College has been the chosen military mentor to young people aged 16-18, mainly through its Army College division. Every one of our military colleges runs military training courses which improve your military fitness, military knowledge and military skills. 

The Army College and military courses are ideal preparation for a military or Public Services career. The military college runs an Army training course, Royal Navy training course, Royal Marines training course and RAF training course. 

As well as improving military fitness and developing Armed Forces training, our courses for young people at the military and Army College improve team-building and military knowledge through the BTEC Level 1 Public Services award. This means you have a head start to a military career. The College is proud to be the chosen military mentor to help provide jobs for young people through its unique training courses which have a proven progression rate.

PETA has developed career pathways in Engineering (Fabrication & Welding, Mechanical Machining and CNC, Maintenance Engineering), Business (Business Administration, Customer Service), ICT (ICT User, ICT Professional), Management and Team Leading and Warehouse and Storage.  These pathways offer fantastic opportunities for young people to succeed and employers to develop the skills they need to compete in a global economy.

Portsmouth City Council - Education 

Our post-16 commissioning team works closely with secondary schools and post-16 providers in the Portsmouth travel to learn area to ensure that all young people have an appropriate offer of education and training post-16 and the curriculum offer meets local demand and need.

SETA, the Southampton Engineering Training Association, has been training engineers for over 40 years.  We specialise in engineering Apprenticeships and adult skills training and we offer a range of standard and bespoke courses and qualifications.  We cover a wide range of engineering skill areas, from instrumentation through to mechanical maintenance or steel erecting, and we have recently added Project Control and Design Apprenticeships to our repertoire.  Our Advanced Apprenticeship programmes are approved by three professional engineering institutions – The IET, The IMechE and The InstMC – and we achieved a grading of ‘Good’ at our last OfSTED inspection.  We are always to help with enquiries.

Southampton City Council supports Apprenticeships both as an employer and with brokerage service to local Southampton businesses.

We have an action plan which details how we are enabling the people of the city to progress in fulfilling careers, and the city’s businesses to recruit successfully and grow and prosper.

Our key targets and objectives include:

  • Improving information, advice and guidance for young people so they can make informed career choices and be inspired by the apprenticeship opportunities in the city
  • Work with schools and colleges to raise awareness, the recruitment of local Apprentice Ambassadors to promote apprenticeships, and the production of an ambassadors film.
  • Introduction of an ‘Apprenticeship First’ scheme for jobs within the Council
  • Implementation of a local helpline and support for Southampton businesses to help them to take on apprentices

In addition, we have been developing information on current and future skills and employment demands for the city so that apprenticeship providers can ensure they are training young people in the skills needed for the city’s economy.  

Southampton Solent University is a dynamic and ambitious university, with a reputation for industry focused courses and developing grounded, work-ready graduates.

Our higher and degree apprenticeships build on this and offer a unique combined workplace and university experience. Each programme is designed in partnership with employers to support development. Our apprentices will learn from their employer’s expertise, developing the skills, knowledge and working habits of a practicing professional while studying for a nationally recognised and industry accredited academic qualification.

We currently offer a Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) and have programmes in built environment, and health and social care in development for 2017 entry.
